On Saturday mornings, I sell cinnamon rolls on the streets.

While that sounds a little shady, it’s actually the truth.  I always have cinnamon rolls and fresh donuts, and sometimes I make pie, or cake…sometimes I have pulled pork…sometimes I make candy…Just depends on my mood.

And sometimes, I over-shoot the needs of my customers.  And I have leftovers.

Sometimes, it’s just one pan.

Sometimes, it’s just a few single rolls.

And sometimes, it’s 5 dozen.

So, I’ve made cinnamon roll bread pudding…

And I’ve made Apple Brown Bettys with cinnamon rolls…And while I’ve received rave reviews on both of these leftover-user-uppers, I’m always thinking about new ways to use up leftover cinnamon rolls.

So today, I was dreaming about Bakerella.  Because, I – like everyone else in the world – have dreams that Bakerella is chasing me with a Ladybug Cake Pop.

And I started thinking about those cake pops.

And I was wondering if there was an idea here…using my leftover cinnamon rolls instead of the cake…and the leftover buttercream frosting.

Well, all we can do is try, right?

Here’s 6 cinnamon rolls…You can use any number here, of course….

I cut them up into…well, I guess I diced them.Just so you know, it took me three tries to get this picture.  There was gunk on the table, my camera strap swung into the frame, and then a nameless 5 year-old came in to pull on my shirt and tell me he needed to pee, resulting in a blurry shot.

Photographer:  I’m not.

This is just some leftover buttercream from a cake I did this week….it’s nice and soft.  You could certainly use a store-bought frosting.

I’m just going to plop some onto the cinnamon roll dice-es.  Die?  Dye?  Crap, I don’t know what that word should be, whatever.  Plop it on to the crumbs.

I don’t know how much this is…like a cup?

Stir it into the cinnamon roll…crumbs.

Scoop the pasty cinnamon roll mixture onto a sheet…

and freeze for about an hour.  At least.

Just like other things in life, longer is better.  Harder is better.

Like SAT tests.

What did you think I meant?

Okay, after they are nice and firm…melt some white chocolate.

And just for funsies, let’s throw in some cinnamon.

I did about 2 teaspoons.  You can do more or less….

Then we dip.And allow the chocolate to set up completely.

“Mommy?  Can I stand behind those things?”I like the specks in the coating…Or maybe my monitor is dirty.

These are really tasty.  But I’ve eaten so many of them, I’m not even sure if they’re good anymore.

Will someone come over and sample some for me?
