I’m okay with snow days.
I can remember back in the day when we had WEEKS of snow days. So a couple, here and there…no big deal.
If you remember, our last snow day spawned a tradition of snow day donuts.
So here it is, 11am, and we’ve done the donuts.
We’ve cleaned the house.
We’ve played 6 games of Go Fish. In my personal hell, I will be damned to play Go Fish with the Devil for all of eternity.
Soooo…what do we do now?
Duh. There’s 3″ of snow outside. Let’s make some freakin’ ice cream!!!
1 gallon bucket, 3 spoons, 1 cup sugar, 2 cups milk, 1 tsp vanilla, ice cream cones.
Scoop the snow into the bucket…
We had to stop several times to have a lesson in what constitutes “clean” snow.
Then mix the sugar, vanilla and milk together…stir until the sugar dissolves.
Pour that mixture into the snow…begin stirring.
As the snow melted, we added more and kept stirring until we made a full gallon of un-melted snow ice cream…
Now let’s eat it…DJ got the first scoop…
Joey Wayne? Did you want some snow ice cream?
Umm…Duh, Mommy.
Seriously, it doesn’t get much simpler than Snow Ice Cream.
